So Proud

One of the first things that everyone asks is how Heathers labor was. If you ask her, she'll say it wasn't bad. Sunday morning while in church I noticed that Heather kept squeezing my hand every so often. I just figured she digs me. Come to find out, she had been having contractions all morning. After they got down to 5 minute apart I decided to load her up and go to the hospital. Heather was freaking out because she had a week or so left at work and her doctor was out of town, and to make matters worse her mom was 13 hours away in Tucson Arizona. Once we arrived at the hospital and they checked her we found out she was 90% thinned but only dilated to a 2.5, so they sent us home because she wasn't dilated enough. Later that evening the contractions got worse, (I'm guessing by how hard she was gripping onto the couch). We loaded back up and headed back to the hospital around 10 pm. This time she was at a 4 and they admitted her into labor and delivery. She got an epidural right away and at 4 am they induced labor. I have no idea how or why but it took until 9 am for her to be ready to start pushing. Just before the doctor came in Heathers mom came running through the door in tears. After her parents realized we were going back up to the hospital, they loaded up the car and drove through the night to be here. Little did they know that they would make it. I think either Heather or Hayden was waiting for her to get there. It really meant a lot to us that they made that sacrifice and more importantly made it there. Well it only took 30 minute of pushing and Hayden was here. I know your curious, so yes, I cried like a little girl! There is no way for me to describe the emotions that took place, I guess those of you with kids understand that. I'm so proud of Heather and how amazing well she did. I'm so lucky to have such beautiful girls and I can't wait for what comes next. Thanks to all for the gifts and all the love and support. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such good people.
